Payroll Specialist – Balkan Region

On behalf of our client, a leading global healthcare and life sciences company focused on improving and saving lives through innovative medicines and technologies, we are currently looking for a Payroll Specialist to support payroll operations across the South Eastern Europe region.

You will join an international environment where collaboration, accuracy, and employee experience play a key role in delivering high-quality payroll services across multiple countries.

Role Overview

As part of the Regional Payroll Mid Europe Region (MER) team, you will support the end-to-end payroll cycle for assigned countries within the Southeastern Europe Cluster, working closely with HR, Finance, and external payroll providers to ensure accurate and timely payroll delivery.


Key Responsibilities

  • Support end-to-end payroll processing for assigned countries
  • Coordinate payroll activities with external payroll providers
  • Validate payroll inputs and outputs, perform basic reconciliations
  • Manage time & attendance data prior to payroll cut-offs
  • Resolve employee payroll queries via ServiceNow
  • Ensure payroll compliance, documentation, and audit readiness
  • Collaborate with HR, Finance, and regional stakeholders
  • Contribute to payroll process improvements and projects


Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Accounting or relevant field (or equivalent experience)
  • Previous payroll experience, ideally within multinational or outsourced payroll environments
  • Experience with payroll vendors (e.g., ADP Streamline, Celergo) is an advantage
  • Knowledge of payroll legislation, tax, and social security processes
  • Experience working with payroll or HR systems
  • Fluent English (spoken and written)
  • Additional European language is an advantage
  • Team player with strong communication skills and positive attitude

Employment type: Agency Worker
Working hours: 40 hours per week
Contract: 1-year contract with confirmed possibility of extension
Start date: ASAP
Salary: around 60,000 CZK/month
