Telecom Vendor Coordinator

For our client, a global healthcare company focused on innovation and delivering high-quality solutions worldwide, we are seeking a Telecom Vendor Activity Coordinator to join their team on a 6-month contract. The role sits within their telecom/vendor operations environment and is key to managing telecom vendors, overseeing circuit delivery processes, and ensuring smooth execution of agreements across the organization.


Key responsibilities

Vendor management

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with telecom vendors
  • Act as the main point of contact for vendor-related inquiries and issue resolution
  • Monitor vendor performance and ensure compliance with contractual obligations

Technical oversight

  • Manage handover processes and testing of newly delivered circuits
  • Collaborate with internal technical teams on circuit preparation and integration
  • Provide technical expertise across WAN circuits, including L2/L3 transport, fiber, microwave, and satellite technologies

Ordering & coordination

  • Oversee the ordering process for telecom services and equipment
  • Ensure accurate and timely processing of purchase orders and service requests
  • Coordinate requirements and specifications with internal stakeholders

Contract & agreement management

Review, manage, and support negotiation of vendor contracts and agreements
Ensure compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements
Maintain structured documentation of all vendor-related agreements
Reporting & analysis

Prepare regular reports on vendor performance, service levels, and cost efficiency
Identify opportunities for cost optimization and process improvements

Requirements

Experience

  • Experience in telecom vendor management or a related role
  • Proven experience with WAN connectivity and transport networks
  • Strong understanding of procurement processes and vendor contract management

Technical knowledge

  • Familiarity with telecom transport technologies and services
  • Experience with vendor management or procurement tools

Soft skills

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Analytical mindset with problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
